Explore RAIN

The Recruitment & Retention of American Indians into Nursing (RAIN) program at UND supports American Indian students as they thrive in healthcare fields.

RAIN blends academic guidance, financial resources, and cultural connection to help students succeed and feel at home while pursuing careers in nursing, social work, nutrition, or dietetics.

Students and mentors sit around a square table during an orientation event. the words "Welcome to RAIN" are on the board behind them

Guided by RAIN mentors and elders, students gain wisdom that links their studies to a broader tradition of healing, leadership, and service to their communities.
