Nutrition & Dietetics Scholarships
Students apply for scholarships through the UND Financial Aid Office, following their stated procedures. Students will automatically be considered for any scholarships for which they meet criteria, including Nutrition & Dietetics scholarships. Department Scholarships Available
Olive C. Bushby, Portland, Oregon, having a desire to invest in the ongoing growth and development of the University of North Dakota, is establishing the Olive c. Bushby Scholarship Endowment within the UND Foundation. This endowment, funded by a testamentary gift provision in her Will, shall provide annual funding for student scholarships, thereby enhancing quality educational opportunities for future generations.
A 1930 graduate of UND, Velma Hurmence Scott established this endowment in honor of her parents, Frederick and Maude Mae, to recognize the important role they and other pioneer North Dakotans played in the building and development of their communities, their state and nation.
In appreciation of the education she received at the University of North Dakota, Ina named UND as a beneficiary in her will. This testamentary gift established the Ina Montgomery Memorial Endowment. Allocations from this endowment support student scholarships in sociology and nutrition and dietetics.
Established by David Rognlie, in honor of his wife Marjorie, with appreciation for the education they received at UND. He wishes this endowment to serve as an investment in the future by providing quality educational opportunities to deserving young students. Scholarships will be awarded to students in both electrical engineering and the nutrition and dietetics.
The scholarship is awarded to a student in nutrition and dietetics, fine arts or occupational/physical therapy.
Dorothy Nelson Sommerfield established this endowment to provide scholarship funding for students majoring in nutrition and dietetics within the UND College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines.
In appreciation of the education they received at the University of North Dakota, Morris established the Morris & Charlotte Maloney Thomte Scholarship Endowment. This endowment will support students within the social work and nutrition and dietetics departments.

Students are encouraged to apply for scholarships from such organizations as the American Dietetic Association Foundation, North Dakota Nutrition Council, Min-Dak Farmers Cooperative, etc. Eligibility requirements and deadlines vary, so students are encouraged to discuss these and other potential scholarships with their academic advisors.
